Rocket team

The Auburn University Rocketry Association (AURA) 35-member team builds and earns certifications to fly high-powered level one rockets. The team is preparing to begin a level two rocketry program for those who completed level one certification.

The Auburn Space Club provides the annual and long-term resources needed (facilities, funds, faculty, industry mentors and student recruitment) to sustain projects each year. The Club is funded partially through by the Alabama Space Grant Consortium that receives funding through NASA. Additional financial support is needed to increase student involvement and participation in NASA competitions. Specific additional funding request include:

• $15,000 annually for materials, travel and equipment.
• A 3D printer for prototyping to populate the Space Club laboratoryDonations are welcomed to populate the Auburn Space Club laboratory; specifically a 3D printer for x prototyping.

Industry and alumni mentoring among team members is encouraged.
