American Solar Challenge 2003 - July 18th

Friday morning

This morning we are charging our car next to a grain silo in the middle of Nowhere, Texas. We have about 40 miles to reach our Amarillo checkpoint and then 105 miles to Tucumcari, NM. It is very windy and dusty out here.

Yesterday, the temperature was above 100 degrees. Our drivers yesterday were Matt and Jeff, both of which agreed that the temperature inside the car was hot but bearable.

Because penalties are not assessed until the end of the stage, we won't know our exact standings until we reach Albuquerque.
