Mando America Corporation has been a Gold Sponsor of the Auburn Formula SAE Racing Team since Fall 2007. The team showed their appreciation to the company by bring the 2006 car to the plant for a driving demo on February 18th, 2009.

Team members Beau Helton, Matt Cromer, Adam Clay, Chase Reynolds, and Ian Forte visited Mando to complete the final crush test of the impact attenuator in the Metrology lab. After the testing in the lab, they received a plant tour through the Steering, Brake, and Suspension sections of the Mando plant.

After the plant tour, Mando employees came to view the car and ask questions to the team members. A break in the rain allowed for a short driving demonstration in the parking lot.

Mando America is a Tier 1 supplier of brake, steering, and suspension assemblies to car companies such as GM, Hyundai, Ford, Kia, and Chrysler. Mando supports the team through use of their damper dynamometer, compression/tensile tester, and Zeiss CMM. This information collected in the lab is very important to the design of our car.
