In the few short weeks between the International FSAE competition in Michigan and the 2nd Annual FSAE West competition in California, our team developed greater driving skill, a new attitude, and a whole new look. We really got a feel for our 2007 car in the Michigan events, and were excited to bring our new skills and knowledge to a different venue. The car got a major facelift with redesigned blue bodywork and a white frame as opposed to the less striking bulky orange and black design as seen in Michigan. Our efforts and experiences helped us earn a best ever 3rd place overall finish (up from 6th in 2006) with great performances in all events, especially Design Finals (2nd), Acceleration (6th), and Endurance (4th). The team hopes to continue to excel in the California competition, especially with what we have in store for 2008!
