The 2007 Formula SAE International Competition in Romeo, Michigan was abound with great teams from all over the globe, and our team's performance proved to establish Auburn as a top performing institution again for 2007. In this years event, Auburn was ranked as the 12th overall finisher out of over 130 total entrants which exceeds the performance of the 2006 competition where the team finished 15th. We were fortunate enough to not have any major setbacks or problems throughout the entirety of the week, and, consequently, the car performed quite well with 12th, 16th, and 18th place finishes in the Acceleration, Skidpad, and Endurance events, respectively. The Autocross event proved to be a very open course that was advantageous to teams with winged cars, but we still finished 37th and were able to offset much of the competition with our 6th place finish in the Design Semi-Finals. As always, we would like to thank our sponsors for aiding our success, and hope they will continue to support our efforts as we grow as a team and develop greater machines for coming years.
