Rocket Week at Drake Middle School Feb. 27 to Mar. 3, 2017

The Auburn University Student Launch team got to hold "Rocket Week" with the 7th graders from Drake Middle School for the fourth year in a row. Rocket Week is a four day event that consists of AUSL members teaching students about rocketry and the science behind it. The team members then instruct and assist the students in building their own rockets, which are then launched on the final day of the event. The project is a great chance for the team to reach out to the surrounding Auburn community to talk about STEM topics in hopes to raise interests in the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Auburn University E-Day 24 February 2017

The Project Tiger Launch team had a great time participating in Auburn University's Engineering Day (E-Day) by representing the Department of Aerospace Engineering. It was a great chance for the team to showcase some of the awesome things happening here at AU, especially within the Aerospace Engineering department, and to reach out to the younger generation about the importance of STEM fields, especially within the aerospace profession. The turnout was great with the team getting to talk to over 250 people ranging from middle school and high school studenst, up to their accompanying parents.
