President

Melanie Monaghan


Melanie is a senior in Civil Engineering from Enterprise, Alabama expecting to graduate in August 2021. She has interest in Structural or Transportation Engineering. Before serving as President, she was a member on the Shake It Off Balsa Tower team winning 1st place at the 2019 Southeastern Student Conference and served on the steel bridge team in 2020. She is also ACI’s current secretary. Melanie plans to make Auburn ASCE one of the top chapters in the Southeast Region and in the nation.

Vice-President

Skye Wilson



Skye Wilson is originally from Auburn, Alabama and is in pursuit of a second degree from Auburn University in Civil Engineering with an interest in Structural Design. Growing up around construction and gaining experience in the real world, he realized his passion has always been in engineering; when he was 28 years old, he re-enrolled at Auburn to pursue his dreams to become a Structural Engineer. Skye is proof that it is never too late to pursue your career aspirations.

Secretary

Oliver Zhao



Hu, more commonly known as Oliver, is a senior civil engineering international student expecting to graduate in May 2021. He co-led the Ecohydraulic team for the 2020 regional conference and is currently a director of SGA, the editor of Chi Epsilon and Honors College Ambassador.

Treasurer

Marshall Heyda



Marshall is a senior in Civil Engineering from Farmington, Minnesota. He is expecting to graduate in May 2021 and has aspirations to become a structural engineer. He has been a member of Auburn ASCE since he transferred in 2018 and is also the current Vice President of Chi Epsilon.

Kelly Turner



Kelly is from Huntsville, Alabama, and is pursuing her Master's in Structural Engineering, expected to graduate in May of 2021. Kelly also currently serves as the President of Auburn's ACI Student Chapter.

AISC Steel Bridge Captain

Joseph Benson




Joseph is from Jacksonville, Florida interested in Structural Engineering. He is set to graduate in 2022. Joe became involved with the AISC Steel Bridge in 2019 and served as an integral member of the design team, his favorite part of the bridge engineering process.

Tyler Norman



Tyler is a graduate student from Mobile, Alabama expected to graduate with his Master's in Structural Engineering in December 2021. He receieved his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Auburn University in 2020 after serving as the Auburn University ASCE President in the same year.


Faculty Advisor

Dr. Justin Marshall



Dr. Marshall is Auburn ASCE's Faculty Advisor. His field of study is Structures, and he currently teaches the Structural Analysis Laboratory among other rotating courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
