Electrical Engineering's Jaeger, Irwin publish new volumes

Two members of the electrical engineering faculty have written new texts in the field. Distinguished University Professor Richard C. Jaeger is the author of Microelectronic Circuit Design, published by McGraw-Hill. The volume, with more than 1,100 pages, provides a comprehensive understanding of the basic techniques of modern electronic circuit design - analog and digital, discrete and integrated.

Jaeger, who is also director of the Alabama Microelectronics Science and Technology Center, also serves as editor of the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits and is a consulting editor for the McGraw-Hill Electronics and VLSI Circuits Series.

"On Becoming an Engineer: A Guide to Career Paths" represents the latest text from J. David Irwin,Earle Williams eminent scholar and head of the Department of Electrical Engineering. This IEEE Press book containing about 150 pages is designed to describe in some detail the many facets and ramifications involved in the pursuit and attainment of an undergraduate engineering degree, Irwin said.
