The Birmingham office of the Engineering Extension Service will present eight new programs in its Precise Seminar Series in a live format in November and early December.
"We are offering them in a classroom situation in Birmingham this fall because the large concentration of engineering professionals in Birmingham allows us to use this format," James Bryant, associate dean for engineering extension, explains.
"This really represents a response to requests that we have had for a live format from engineers in this area. At the same time we will continue to offer additional topics on videotape for practitioners who live and practice throughout the state and beyond. The tapes represent a convenient and flexible delivery method.
"The live format courses in Birmingham represent another iteration of our desire to better serve our clientele."
The programs are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m. in the Birmingham office of the Engineering Extension Service, which is located at 85 Bagby Dr., Suite 100 (Birmingham, AL 35209).
The cost for each program is $75, and additional information may be obtained from the extension services Birmingham office at (205) 942-7900, voice, and 942-2800, fax.
