Graduate students recognized as standouts

earned distinct recognitions in chemical engineering.

Three graduate students were honored for their graduate study work in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Pranav Vengsarkar was named the 2015 Outstanding International Graduate Student; Robert Herring III earned the 2014-2015 Outstanding Doctoral Student award; and Alex Kelly was recognized as the 2014-2015 Outstanding Master’s Student award.

Kelly worked with Virginia Davis, alumni professor in chemical engineering, to complete his Master’s thesis and is now pursuing his Ph.D. with Allan David, John W. Brown assistant professor in chemical engineering. Herring completed his Ph.D. with Mario Eden, department chair of chemical engineering, and is working on his post-doctoral degree with Eden. Vengsarkar currently performs his research under the direction of Christopher B. Roberts, dean of the College of Engineering.
