Mississippi State engineer to present particulate matter emissions research

Jason M. Keith, Earnest W. Deavenport Jr. Chair in the Dave C. Swalm School of Chemical Engineering at Mississippi State University, will give a lecture on particulate matter emissions and diesel particulate filters on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. in 136 Ross Hall. Keith will discuss the use of diesel particulate filters to reduce particulate matter emissions from on-road or off-road diesel engines, which are subject to federal and state standards. His lecture is hosted by Auburn University’s Department of Chemical Engineering. Keith was previously a faculty member at Michigan Technological University from 2000-2011. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Akron and doctorate degree at the University of Notre Dame.
