In keun Son, doctoral student in Auburn University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, will present “Design and Optimization of a Tiered Wireless Access Network,” on Friday, Oct. 22, at 3 p.m. in 235 Broun Hall. Son’s lecture is part of Auburn’s wireless engineering networking seminar series.

Son will discuss the challenges of developing a tiered wireless access network that exploits free space optical communications. Son holds a master’s degree from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Korea Military Academy. He conductd research on topology design and performance optimization in wireless networks with engineering faculty member Shiwen Mao.
