Michigan professor to speak on enhancing hydrogen storage capacity

Auburn University's Department of Chemical Engineering will continue its Basore Distinguished Lectureship and Visitation Program with a presentation by Ralph T. Yang, professor in chemical engineering at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. in 1103 Shelby Center. Yang’s seminar, "Hydrogen Storage at Ambient Temperature by Hydrogen Spillover," focuses on a bridge-building technique that enhances hydrogen spillover at ambient temperatures, which improves hydrogen storage capacity. In 2008, Yang received the hydrogen research and development award from the U.S. Department of Energy for his work on hydrogen storage, separation science and environmental nanostructured materials. He has also earned national recognition from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Chemical Society.
