Kevin Gue, assistant professor in Auburn University's Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, was recently awarded the best applied paper prize in design and manufacturing by Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) Transactions for his paper, "Aisle Configurations for Unit-load Warehouses."
The best paper awards will be presented during the Industrial Engineering Research Conference (IERC) in Cancun, Mexico, in June. Gue's achievement will also be announced at the welcome ceremonies at the IERC, published in the Industrial Engineer magazine and posted to the IIE Web site.
IIE is the largest professional society in the world dedicated to supporting the industrial engineering profession and improving quality and productivity. The organization was founded in 1948 and provides leadership for the application, education, training, research and development of industrial engineering.
