Auburn University's chapter of Engineers Without Borders and Auburn University IMPACT are sponsoring a book drive for the Boys and Girls Club of Lee County during the holiday season. The Boys and Girls Club serves underprivileged children from the Auburn-Opelika area and is in need of educational books for grades K-12 to continue its efforts to promote literacy.

A table will be set up on the Concourse from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, for donations. Today through Wednesday, Dec. 9, festively wrapped boxes will be located around campus for book donations. Drop-off locations include:

  • Shelby Center
  • Ross Hall
  • Lowder Building
  • Auburn Student Center, Suite 3130

Donated books will be taken to the director of the Boys and Girls Club after final exams. This is a great opportunity to make the holiday season a little brighter for children in the Auburn-Opelika area.
