Ian Hausding of Technische Universität in Dresden, Germany, will visit with students in Auburn University's Department of Polymer and Fiber Engineering on Monday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. in 104 Textile Building. He will present, "Auburn-Dresden Exchange Program - Life, studies and research at Dresden University," to discuss the Auburn-Dresden partnership beginning in 2009 that will offer students the opportunity to visit Dresden for one or two semesters. Hausding's presentation will provide first-hand information on Dresden University, the city of Dresden and how Auburn students will be integrated into current research projects and courses.
Technische Universität-Dresden is home to more than 35,000 students from across the globe and is organized into 14 faculties with subjects ranging from social sciences to mechanical engineering. The city of Dresden has a rich history, sizzling night-life and short travel distance to Berlin and Prague.
