Haitao Li, professor in the Sorrell College of Business at Troy University - Montgomery, will speak on supply chain configuration optimization as part of the Graduate Seminar Program in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. The seminar will take place on Friday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. in Shelby Center 3210.

The design of a supply chain network as an integrated system with several tiers of suppliers is a difficult task. It consists of making strategic decisions on the facility location, stocking location, production policy, production capacity, distribution and transportation modes.

Li has a bachelor's degree from the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as a master's degree and a doctorate from the University of Mississippi. He has been at Troy since 2005, where his research interests lie in supply chain modeling.
