An article by Jay Khodadadi, professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been named to ScienceDirect's TOP25 Hottest Articles list. Titled "Nanoparticle-enhanced phase change materials (NEPCM) with great potential for improved thermal energy storage," the piece was included in the journal "International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer" in May. The article details NEPCM's potential for diverse thermal energy storage applications.
In order to determine its TOP25, ScienceDirect tracks the number of times scientific articles are downloaded from its informational website. A list is made quarterly of the articles that are most downloaded in each of 24 categories.
"This ranking is clearly a measure of the relevancy and novelty of the NEPCM idea by those involved in energy research," said Khodadadi.
