The McLeod Outstanding Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Teaching Award is given to the best graduate teaching assistants each calendar year comprising the Summer, Fall, and Spring academic terms and is based on excellence in instruction, teaching effectiveness, impact on undergraduate students' intellectual and professional development, as well as other criteria. The McLeod award was implemented in 2005 by a gift from chemical engineering alumnus, Chandler McLeod, to recognize and motivate outstanding teaching achievement by graduate students within the department of chemical engineering.
