The summer's first graduate seminar in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering will be held Friday, June 8 at 11 a.m. in Dunstan 202. The speaker is graduate student Serdar Yucel.
Yurcel's seminar, "Analyzing and Modeling the Mini-load of Siemens VDO Automotive in Huntsville," will discuss mini-load storage, one of the five different storage systems utilized in the Siemens VDO Automotive distribution center. This automated storage and retrieval area consists of six aisles of storage and computer controlled storage and retrieval equipment that stores and retrieves totes of items. This seminar will focus on the computer model of this system, its development and a detail of its outputs.
