Ron Hayes, a victim's advocate for families who have experienced an occupational fatality, will be speaking to safety classes in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering on Tuesday, April 17 in Ramsey 304 at 8 a.m. Hayes and his wife Pat lost their 19-year-old son Patrick in an occupational accident in 1993 and have made victims advocacy their cause ever since. The university community is invited to attend this event.

"We're very excited to have Ron speaking to our occupational safety classes here at Auburn, "says Jerry Davis, the ISE faculty member who invited Hayes. "His experiences are sure to have an exceptional impact on students who are going into fields that will be marked by on-the-job safety issues."
