The winners will receive a plaque at the next TAPPI meeting.

Their paper, "Recent advances in the commercialization of NIR (near-infrared) based liquor analyzers in the pulping and recovery area," from the November 2006 issue of TAPPI Journal, was selected for the award from all peer-reviewed papers published during 2006. It ranked first based on the criteria of innovation, creativity, scientific merit and clarity.
