Industrial and systems engineering students receive honors

McKenzie Mayo, senior in industrial and systems engineering, has been selected for a prestigious Award of Excellence by Alpha Pi Mu, the national industrial engineering honor society. Mayo was one of seven students from five universities to receive the award. She is from Shreveport, La.

Students nominated for membership in Alpha Pi Mu must place academically in the upper 20 percent of the junior class or upper third of the senior class in industrial and systems engineering. The award includes a $500 gift to each recipient.

Two students in ISE were recognized by Auburn's graduate school. Charles Mitchell was named one of the university's top ten master's students, while Skylab Gupta was named of one of its top ten doctoral students.
