Gilbert to be distinguished lecturer at Marquette

Juan Gilbert, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, will be honored at Marquette University as Metcalf Chair March 27-29. Gilbert notes that his visit to the campus will focus on the importance of diversity in science, engineering and technology fields. While there he will discuss opportunities for collaboration on diversity initiatives and give a public lecture, "Application Quest: A Response to the U.S. Supreme Court Decision in the University of Michigan Affirmative Action Cases."

The Metcalf Chair brings outstanding African-American and other minority scholars to speak at the Marquette University campus.
