Applications for fall semester are now being accepted for the Business-Engineering-Technology minor, a program that prepares students from the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and the College of Business for jobs in today's high-tech world. The goal of the B-E-T program is to provide students with a better understanding of the culture of both disciplines and to produce business-minded professionals who can perform successfully in a technologically driven market.
The B-E-T minor was designed with input from business leaders who hire outstanding Auburn business and engineering graduates. Students who finish this two-year minor are well trained in new product development, market analysis and business plan preparation. The program offers four scholarships each year and gives students the opportunity to travel to Europe and Asia to participate in product development with students in foreign universities. Student who have received the minor have found it vastly enhances employment and graduate school opportunities.
The program is in its sixth year and has limited seating. Students with sophomore standing and a GPA of 3.0 or above are eligible to apply.
