An important note about our curriculum:  Our program has a strictly-enforced prerequisite policy.  Failure to complete the required courses in the proper sequence may affect your graduation date by one semester or more.

Curriculum Changes effective Fall Semester 2014:

  1. Students are required to achieve a grade of C or better in STAT 3600 before enrolling in INSY 3400.
  2. Students are required to achieve a grade of C or better in INSY 3400 before enrolling in INSY 3420 and INSY 3700.
  3. Students are required to achieve a grade of C or better in INSY 3410 before enrolling in INSY 3700.
  4. Students in the College of Engineering (including those in Industrial and Systems Engineering) may graduate with 9 hours of Humanities and 9 hours of Social Science core (reduced from 12 hours for each area previously).  Students must have a sequence in either literature or history.  Students must have one Fine Arts course, at least one Literature course, and one Ethics course (PHIL 1020, 1030, or 1040 or equivalent) to satisfy the Humanities core.  The total minimum hours required for the Industrial and Systems Engineering degree was reduced from 126 to 120 semester hours.

Interdisciplinary Studies with an Industrial and Systems Engineering emphasis:

Courses with prefix "INSY" are considered major-specific courses.  INSY-prefix courses are the only ones that may be counted as ISE emphasis courses toward the Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  Please see the IDSC website for more information: www.auburn.edu/academic/provost/undergrad_studies/IDSC/
