Academic Advising

INSY undergraduate students who are “in major” are advised by the departmental advisor:

Branden Farmer, Coordinator, Student Services

3320 Shelby Center
Auburn University, AL 36849
Tel: (334) 844-3761

blf0008@auburn.edu

Pre-IE students are advised by Engineering Student Services. Students in major must be advised by Mr. Farmer before registering for classes. An "advisor" hold prevents you from registering without being advised.

Advising is usually done during October-November for the following spring registration and during March-April for the following summer/fall registration. An email is sent to all undergraduate students in Industrial & Systems Engineering with instructions for advising approximately a week before the advising period begins. If you don't receive such an email, contact Mr. Farmer to be added to the department's undergraduate list serve. You must be advised by Mr. Farmer before being allowed to register for classes.
