Bevly Receives SAE International Educational Award

David Bevly, a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University, is one of ten professors from around the world who were selected to receive SAE International's Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award. Established in 1953, the award recognizes outstanding engineering educators, and offers them the opportunity to meet and exchange views with practicing engineers in their fields. Read full story

Kirkici Named Officer of IEEE Society

Hulya KirkiciHulya Kirkici, associate professor in electrical and computer engineering, has been elected to the administrative vice president position of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers - Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (IEEE-DEIS). The IEEE-DEIS focuses on the study and application of dielectric phenomena and behavior and the development, characterization and application of all electrical insulating materials, as well as the systems utilized in electrical and electronic equipment. Warehouse Article Named Best Paper

The 2007 Industrial Engineering Research Conference program committee has awarded a paper co-written by Kevin Gue, associate professor in industrial and systems engineering, with the Best Paper Award in the facility logistics track. He joins Tish Pohl and Russell Meller from the University of Arkansas as co-authors of the paper, "An Evaluation of Two New Warehouse Aisle Designs for Dual-Command Travel." Read full story
