Auburn Team Showcases First Solar Hybrid Vehicle

Sol of Auburn, the Auburn University solar car team, presented its first solar-biodiesel hybrid vehicle at the Shell Eco-marathon in Houston, April. ChE Undergrads Win Top Awards Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Forum

Chemical Engineering undergraduates performed exceptionally well at The Eighth Annual Auburn University Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Forum, which took place April 13-14. Engineering students represented ~35 percent of the undergraduate presentations, with Chemical Engineering students representing ~22 percent of the undergraduate presentations, and receiving 4 of the 14 awards. ISE Doctoral Student Awarded Safety Scholarship

Ruoliang Tang, doctoral student in Auburn University’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, was honored with a $500 scholarship from the Alabama chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Tang’s research focuses on occupational safety and ergonomics and biomechanics of the human lumbar spine. Tang is advised by faculty members Richard Sesek and Jerry Davis. Read more >>
