Eidson Receives Tau Beta Pi Fellowship

Auburn University's Brandon Eidson was recently chosen to receive the Tau Beta Pi - James Fife Fellowship in the amount of $10,000 for the 2009-2010 academic year. Eidson, a native of Birmingham, is entering his second year as a graduate student in electrical engineering. He plans to use the fellowship to cover expenses associated with continuing his education, such as research costs and living expenses. Read more>>

Auburn Senior Heads for NASA Academy

Polymer and fiber engineering student Samantha Bird has been chosen for the Marshall Space Flight Center's 2009 NASA Academy. The program is an intense 10-week summer experience in Huntsville, Ala., where Bird will live and interact with other interns through research and group projects, as well as attend educational events with NASA leaders and experts.Read more>>

Biosystems Doctoral Student Tops in Ag

Doctoral candidate Sumit Sen has been named the College of Agriculture's 2009 Outstanding International Graduate Student Award winner. Sen is officially enrolled at Auburn in civil engineering, but he pursued and, in March, completed his doctorate in biosystems engineering under the supervision of associate professor Puneet Srivastava.Read more>>
