Eidson Receives Tau Beta Pi Fellowship

Auburn University's Brandon Eidson was recently chosen to receive the Tau Beta Pi - James Fife Fellowship in the amount of $10,000 for the 2009-2010 academic year. Eidson, a native of Birmingham, is entering his second year as a graduate student in electrical engineering. He plans to use the fellowship to cover expenses associated with continuing his education, such as research costs and living expenses.

As an undergraduate, Eidson was involved in IEEE and the SPaRC robotics program. Now a graduate student, he is involved with Tau Beta Pi and spends whatever time he is not researching studying or attending classes, planning his wedding and becoming involved in his local church.

The James Fife Fellowships are given in memory of the father of the late William Fife, member of Tau Beta Pi. All awards are presented based on the recipients' scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to engineering. By the time this year's awardees complete their graduate work, Tau Beta Pi will have awarded more than $4,975,000.
