The Auburn University soil judging team was named winner of the Southeastern Regional Soil Judging Contest held last fall at Western Kentucky University. The University of Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Clemson University and University of West Virginia, respectively, rounded out the top five teams. Winning the regional competition qualifies the team for the national contest to be held in Utah in April. Auburn has won four of the last five regional contests in which they have competed.
Team members include environmental science majors Jaquice Hughes and Reid McDill; and Mike Gunn, Jessica Massey, Hunter Stone and Amy Weaver, seniors in agronomy.
