CSSE Hosts Third Annual World Usability Day

Auburn University's Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering Department recently hosted World Usability Day.

The event -- one of more than 135 in 35 countries -- demonstrated that the things people interact with and experience every day can work better. The events were hosted by individuals and volunteers from corporations, organizations and universities around the world and will focus on accessibility and inclusion. This year's theme was: "Healthcare. Together let's explore how our health is impacted by design."

"Usability affects everyone everyday," noted Elizabeth Rosenzweig, founder and director of World Usability Day. "From the tools we use to teach our children, to our hospital emergency rooms to the telephones we use to communicate, it's a part of our daily lives and it's important to recognize we all have the right to have things that work better."
