Cullinan Named to Paper Industry International Hall of Fame

Harry T. Cullinan, professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and director of the Alabama Center for Paper and Bioresource Engineering, has been named to the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame. Cullinan was recognized during a ceremony in Oct., in Appleton, Wisc. He is one of six paper industry innovators who were chosen for this year's induction class, bringing the membership roster to 82. Byrne receives Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award

Mark Byrne, assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, received the Auburn Alumni Association's Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award at the Auburn University faculty awards ceremony in October. The awards are presented on the basis of outstanding teaching of undergraduates from nominations made by alumni and students with letters of support from department heads and deans. Byrne was one of three recipients of the award, which were selected by a committee of retired faculty.
