Elements of ME Conference A Success

The fifth annual Elements of Mechanical Engineering Conference held at the Marriott Lodge and Conference Center in Opelika gave alumni a chance to learn more about departmental activities, have input into the department's future, and attend technical sessions on fundamental and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering.

Conference features included lab tours; meetings with current and emeriti faculty; a presentation of the department mission and program with open discussion; and several engineering workshops with opportunity to earn 12 professional development hours.

Carver Kennedy,  retired Thiokol Corp. executive and keynote speaker at the banquet, provided attendees with an historical perspective on space exploration.
