Summer ISE Lecture Series

This year's Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering summer lecture series provided a lively venue for graduate students in the department to share results of their research with Auburn students and faculty. Seminar topics ranged from the development of an improved computer model to aid in planning for the expansion of electrical transmission networks to a more efficient layout for retail stores with multiple departments to a way to use modeling to prevent bottlenecks in manufacturing lines.

"These seminars give our graduate students a chance to show off their hard work and gain valuable experience in presenting before their peers," explains Alice Smith, head of the department. "It also provides students with a broad overview of the wide variety of work that we are doing in this department."
