Smith Wins 2006 Grant Award

Alice SmithAlice E. Smith, chair of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, and co-author Ravipum Chaveesuk, assistant professor of agro-industrial technology management at Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand, were selected to receive the 2006 Eugene L. Grant Award, given for the best paper in issues of the previous year of the Engineering Economist journal. This was the second time Smith has received the award. Read full story

Crocker meets with director of AUSA Road Research Institute

Malcolm CrockerMalcolm Crocker, distinguished university professor in mechanical engineering, was the keynote speaker at the Third Argentinean Congress on Acoustics in Buenos Aires. Crocker delivered a lecture on the measurement of tire noise and the sound absorbing properties of porous asphalt. Read full story
