| Technology Education AC-PABE is also actively engaged in helping to prepare highly trained operators for the pulp and paper industry. The advanced manufacturing technologies now in place in today's world class pulp and paper mills require a highly skilled technical workforce. This effort has been conducted through a partnership with Alabama Southern Community College and has resulted in a world-class associate degree program in pulp and paper technology which has been enthusiastically received by the regional industry. The program is now the center of a National Network for Pulp and Paper Technology Training which is being built to meet the technical training need of the entire US pulp and paper industry.
