Capabilities and Equipment

    

Our lab contains several pieces of equipment essential for the processing and mechanical characterization of multifunctional materials. These include:

 

Maker Select 3D Printer	Instron servohydraulic mechanical test frame
DIC Analysis System	Markforged Marktwo Composites 3D Printer

Additionally, we are affiliated with the Center for Polymer and Advanced Composites (CPAC) at Auburn University (https://eng.auburn.edu/research/centers/polymer-and-fiber/capabilities.html) which houses a wide array of equipment for mechanical and thermal characterization of polymers and composite materials including

• Instron mechanical test frames (5 kN and 100 kN capacity)
• TA Instruments Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC)
• TA Instruments Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA)
• TA Instruments Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA)
